SetupSelect helps visitors compare product categories, answer setup-builder quizzes, and follow exact Amazon product-detail links for product research.

Information you provide

Public visitors can browse categories, read buying guides, use builder pages, and follow product links without creating an account.

If account features are enabled in the future, the app may store information you choose to provide, such as an email address, display name, saved recommendations, favourites, quiz preferences, and basic account settings.

Quiz and recommendation data

Builder quizzes ask about goals, budget, space, portability, product priorities, and related buying preferences. These answers are used to generate product bundles and category suggestions.

They are not intended to reveal sensitive personal information, and you should avoid entering private health, financial, identity, or household security details into free-text fields if those are added later.

Affiliate links and Amazon marketplace pages

SetupSelect uses affiliate links that open exact product-detail pages on Amazon UK. Amazon OneLink may redirect an eligible visitor to the corresponding product or marketplace experience for their location.

When you click an outbound affiliate link, Amazon may receive information such as the referring page, your browser details, device information, approximate location, and any data you provide directly on Amazon.

Purchases, delivery details, payment information, returns, and Amazon account activity are handled by Amazon under its own terms and privacy policy.

Analytics and performance

SetupSelect uses optional third-party services only after you give consent.

Google Analytics helps us understand page views, feature usage, errors, performance, device types, and general traffic patterns so we can improve the app, identify broken pages, and prioritise useful guides.

ShareThis provides the social sharing buttons and may process device, browser, IP address, page and interaction data or use cookies and similar technologies when enabled.

You can reject these optional services or change your choice at any time using the Privacy preferences link in the site footer. Basic server logs may still be processed for security, reliability, and error diagnosis.

Account-related data, if enabled, may be kept while the account exists or while needed for security, legal, operational, or backup purposes.

You can avoid creating an account, clear browser storage, block cookies, avoid clicking outbound affiliate links, or contact the site owner about privacy questions. If account features are enabled, you may request help with account data or saved preferences.

Children's privacy

SetupSelect is intended for general audiences researching household, lifestyle, technology, travel, fitness, garden, car, pet, and similar product categories. It is not designed to knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy
