Measured desk comparison

Compare desks by size and workspace fit

Choose a layout and enter the largest desktop your room can accept. The comparison applies those measurements to a small set of manufacturer-linked desk records; it does not turn incomplete specifications into a recommendation.

This is a deliberately small reference set, not a complete market survey. A green dimension result means only that the published width and depth pass the entered arithmetic.

Fixed or standing desk?

The sourced records above are fixed-height desks. A sit–stand desk also needs a suitable seated and standing range, stability at height, cable travel and load allowance.

One or two monitors?

Advertised diagonal does not reveal physical screen width. Calculate the actual span and angle before relying on the scenario allowance.

Common questions

Before choosing a desk

What size desk is a useful starting point for two monitors?

SetupSelect uses 120 × 70 cm as a planning starting point for two monitors. The exact requirement depends on each screen’s physical width, stand footprint or arm, inward angle, keyboard, cables and viewing distance.

Is a 60 cm deep desk enough for a monitor?

It can be enough for some single-monitor arrangements, but the stand footprint, screen position, cable bends and your eye-to-screen distance matter. Measure the complete setup instead of relying on desktop depth alone.

How should I compare desks for a small room?

Start with the maximum width and depth the room can accept, then reserve space for the chair to move, doors to open and people to pass. After that, check whether the remaining desktop is large enough for the measured equipment.

Can this page confirm that a monitor arm will fit?

No. Width and depth do not confirm clamp compatibility. Check desktop thickness, construction, rear-edge access, frame position and both manufacturers’ instructions. A published warning against screen stands should be treated as a stop signal.

Best next step

Put the desk into the complete room

A desktop can meet the equipment allowance while leaving too little space for a chair, doorway or usable route. Add the exact desk footprint to a measured room before ordering.
