Pressure Washer for a Car and Patio

By Benjamin DickmanReviewed 4 September 20261 min read

One pressure washer can cover both a car and patio if it combines gentle control with enough water flow and reach for paving. Do not average the two jobs: meet the patio’s flow and hose needs, then require a variable or gentle car-safe setup.

The useful compromise

A mid-range machine around 120–135 bar maximum pressure, roughly 360–450L/h flow and at least a five-metre hose is a reasonable class to compare for many domestic combinations. Larger patios may justify more flow and a seven- or eight-metre hose.

These are starting points, not safe operating settings.

Accessories to check

A patio cleaner can make broad paving less splashy. A detergent bottle or foam lance can help with vehicle pre-wash. Confirm exactly what the retailer bundle contains; similar model names often appear with different accessories.

Keep the methods separate

Use the attachment and technique intended for each surface. A patio nozzle or concentrated rotary jet is not a car-cleaning setting. For the car, begin gently and avoid vulnerable components. For paving, inspect pointing and softer stone before cleaning.

Select both jobs in the pressure-washer finder. The most demanding hard-surface requirement sets flow and reach while the car choice keeps pressure control in the ranking.
